DAVID LEE HUGHES MASTERING

If you're looking for a flat rate on your mastering and want to make sure you don't over-shoot your budget, then DLH Mastering is your solution! I don't charge by the hour to get your tracks mastered, I like to take my time and analyze all the aspects of each individual track. I want give every project my full attention and not worry about watching the clock to charge my clients.

Over the years, I have worked with many musicians and many types of music. There is no template or presets for mastering. Each project is carefully analyzed. A specific balance of processing is applied to every individual track.

Shine On Studio offers musicians and businesses a competitive choice for mastering. I take great pride in my work and have carefully selected audio gear & software to offer the best sound for my clients. Some of our recent clients have been aired on local radio stations like 106.1 KMEL & 105.3 FM KITS.

I invite you to come to my studio and see what a professional engineer can do for your music. Mastering is the final step in taking your music from an amature level to a professional level. I'm sure you will be pleased with the quality and difference mastering will do for your music.

If you like your mix, but just want a professional engineer to clean up your levels and make sure that your CD is ready for production, then my Tune-Up package is for you. I will adjust levels and EQ to make sure that the tracks flow from one to another. I will also make sure the fades and spacing between tracks is to your desired amount.

When preparing to deliver your audio for mastering, there are a few steps that are very crucial to the process. If possible, I prefer to work with stem files of the mix. Stem files can be delivered as two seperate stereo files (music & vocals). This makes it much easier to EQ and compress the master files properly. It is very important to maintain the sample rate and bit depth of the recording so that no conversion takes place between the intial recording and the final master files. If you have any questions about how to deliver your audio for mastering, please contact me.

If you can provide the original stereo mix file, I will use your mix as reference to the balance between vocals and music.
